Job Description
|
As a Senior Manager of Alternative Payments and Prepaid, this position will be responsible for growth tactual business execution designed to exceed volume and revenue targets.
Prepaid and Alternative Payments are key growth areas for Discover Network with significant visibility with executive management.
The Senior Manager must have the passion and drive to evangelize business opportunities, and at the same time be adept at executing against agreed-upon strategy.
S/he has to have the ability to inspire and lead as well as the creativity and acumen to develop unique solutions.
The ideal candidate would need to have demonstrated success in closing deals and setting up winning partnerships while also having had product development experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
Lead the business segment from strategic issues resolution and business case development through program implementation in order to drive successful completion of the business segments annual plan.
Provide oversight and control of product/program concepts, direction and objectives. Ensure product/program alignment with strategic plan and associated volume and revenue targets.
Lead new business development efforts coupled with maximizing existing partner agreements.
Develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity which demand a high degree of innovation, agility and cross-functional collaboration. Particularly in the areas of partner negotiations, program execution and commercial arrangements.

Qualifications
|
5+ years of relationship management and business development experience. Knowledge of the Payments market is desired. Experience in Prepaid, Network, EFT, Credit, ACH segments are desirable. Prepaid knowledge of payroll, incentive/rebate or campus programs are a plus.
Experience in leading, creating and driving innovation.
Ability to collaborate, influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization.
Ability to conceptualize, communicate and facilitate the implementation of strategic plans. Exceptional assessment, analysis and decision making skills.
Ability to leverage research and market insight to drive innovation and competitive advantage. Bachelor’s degree required. |
